Magnificent creation of god

The most outstanding wonder of God's creation is the human mind. The mind is at the same time strong yet weak, sincere yet deceitful, it can take man to the heights of success and to the depths of destruction. It is the most intriguing, mysterious and yet the most disastrous and deadly or man's possessions. There is no other machinery that is so complex, yet so subtle, and with such infinite possibility. The way we use this instrument called mind is completely up to us. We can destroy with it or utilize it positively to its maximum potential. Such is the power of the mind!
We indulge our mind because of our weakness and lack of self-control, giving the mind ruthless power. We make ourselves slaves to our mind by giving it total freedom, letting it run wild and loose. We should be the navigators of our mind, but instead we let our mind steer us whichever way it wants. And who can deny that the mind is most of the time stupid, and only sometimes wise. We talk of free will, reason. logic. intellect, understanding - but our words, thoughts, and actions demonstrate that we rarely exercise any of those Faculties. Think deeply about this. We would probably not even be able to live with ourselves if we admitted to ourselves the thoughts we have. We would be appalled at ourselves if we were to expose the thoughts that constantly stream through our minds. We might be rudely shocked to discover the filth and anger we have accumulated in our mind over the years. Here is a poignant description: "Our minds are like crows. They pick up everything that glitters, no matter how uncomfortable our nests get with all that metal in them. And all that unnecessary glittering metal in our mind has festered into five deadly diseases which shackle the mind. Every thought, word or action can either enhance the mind so it can focus better or steer it away from its original source. These passions need to be harnessed and tamed. As Mahatma Gandhi said, once our senses are out of control, if its like "sailing in a rudderless ship, bound to break into pieces when it comes in contact with the very first rock. An old man describes an experience going on in his mind to his grandson. There's a terrible fight between two wolves going on in us all. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person too. The grandson thought about it and asked his grandfather. "Which wolf will win?"
The old man simply replied. "The one you feed.
The wolf we feed will determine if the good within us has triumphed.
